What We Do
What is the Alaska Impact Alliance currently doing?

Association of Practitioners
Monthly Learning and Networking

Monthly Newsletter
AIA members contribute to and receive a monthly newsletter on Alaska’s child welfare programs, job openings, events, and other pertinent practitioner information.
Alaska Family Resource Center Network
Family Resource Centers (FRCs) are community-based hubs designed to support families by providing a range of services, resources, and programs that promote family well-being, child development, and community support. They are tailored to the unique needs of the communities they serve and may be run by nonprofits, government agencies, or community organizations. The Alaska Family Resource Center (FRC) Network is a statewide membership of Family Resource Centers located in select schools and community agencies within Alaska. The AK FRC Network is a member of the National Family Support Network and a project of the Alaska Impact Alliance. Alaska’s FRC Network is one of 41 State FRC Networks supporting more than 3,000 FRCs in the U.S.

Family Assistance Management System (F.A.M.S)
The AIA offers the F.A.M.S. case management system to agencies so that they can utilize state-of-the-art Sales Logic software for managing their client and employee information. Within F.A.M.S., agencies can:
1) utilize evidence-based needs assessments,
2) use surveys and send correspondence,
3) track services, training, resources distributed, referrals made, and time spent with each client, and
4) access reports.
Culturally-Tailored Practice
An AIA Action Team is locating and studying existing culturally tailored family wellness prevention practices that could qualify for federal funding. We aim to elevate the practices already working for Alaskan families and potentially bring nationally recognized evidence-based practices to Alaska.

Promising & Evidence-Based Practice Clearinghouse
The AIA is committed to tracking and supporting existing evidence-based prevention programs, promoting the use of these programs when appropriate, and working toward sustainable federal funding for these programs
